If you have not already added an account to Mail you will be directed to the New Account Wizard. If you have already created an account in Mail, click File, then Add account from the drop down menu. Select Exchange and click Continue. When the New Account wizard opens, enter the following in the text boxes provided.

For Microsoft Exchange 2013 and macOS Catalina
- Launch Spark for Mac At the top left of your screen, click on “Spark” “Add Account” Click on the “Exchange” icon from the grid of email service providers When you see the Sign in with Microsoft screen, enter your Exchange email and password and click Next.
- Sign in to iCloud to access your photos, videos, documents, notes, contacts, and more. Use your Apple ID or create a new account to start using Apple services.

Open the System Preferences via the Dock of macOS Catalina.
Select the menu item Internet accounts in the System Settings.
Click on Exchange.
Enter the desired name and your email address.

In the Password field, enter the password of your Microsoft Exchange account and click Log In.
Select the apps you want to use with your Microsoft Exchange 2013 account.
Click Done.
The Microsoft Exchange 2013 account is now set up.

When an email account is offline, a lightning bolt icon appears at the end of the Favorites bar, just below the search field. The icon also appears next to the account’s mailboxes in the Mail sidebar.
In the Mail app on your Mac, do one of the following:
Exchange Account Mac Mail Not Working
Take all accounts online: Click the lightning bolt icon or choose Mailbox > Take All Accounts Online.
Take a specific account online (if you have more than one account): Click the lightning bolt icon next to the account’s mailbox, or choose Mailbox > Online Status > Take [account] Online.
If you can’t take an account online, make sure you’re connected to the internet. If a warning icon appears next to the account name, click it to open Connection Doctor. Learn more about using Connection Doctor.
Configure Mac Mail For Exchange Online
Some mailbox names can appear dimmed if you don’t have permission to access them, such as public mailboxes on a mail server.
